Bering Bering
In 2008, Rene Kaerskov lept from a helicopter and parachuted into the Arctic Circle, captivated by the breathtaking spectacle below him. The moment he touched down on the eternal ice, he was overwhelmed by the beauty of the infinite white expanse. It was this that inspired the minimalist style of Bering Watches today.
The Bering name comes from the Danish sailor, Vitus Bering who in 1728, set off on an adventure across a largely unknown area of the Arctic Ocean, now named the Bering Straits in his honour. Vitus was the first European to discover Alaska and now even has a time zone named after him too!
